Hot Vinyl Of The Day! 5/6/15

Today's pick from the vinyl loft is Mike Watt's 1995 release, Ball-Hog Or Tugboat. This album was recorded in 1994, the same year his longtime band, Firehose, broke up and his marriage fell apart. Without a regular band, Watt turned to friends and famous "Fans of Watt" to contribute to the album, including Dave Grohl, Eddie Vedder, Krist Novoselic, Flea, Henry Rollins, J Mascis, the Kirkwood brothers (from Meat Puppets), Pat Smear, Frank Black, Mark Lanegan, Evan Dando, Beastie Boys' Ad-Rock and Mike D, plus others.

This LP was limited-edition release on double blue vinyl.
