It would be very difficult to find a four-piece band with this much talent. The '70s carried KC though a myriad of groundbreaking records and lineups, but this ’84 release let it be known that this was not only a musicians' band, they had found a way to mix pop sensibility with A+ level musicianship (not unlike Roxy Music, Bowie, or Talking Heads). King Crimson was just too damn talented and hardheaded to ever accept mainstream notoriety. They never would… and we like them more because of that.
