Forever Hasn’t Happened Yet is packed with plenty of bluesy country roadhouse rock, and finds the singer-songwriter in good company with help from Dave Alvin, Neko Case and Grant Lee Phillips to name a few. Doe is at the top of his game here, and vocally has never delivered better acoustically, whether singing about longing, regret or bitterness. You feel the weight and emotion behind every tune, which leaves you hungry for more.
