This is the fourth album from French DJ/producer Jean-Christophe Le Saout, with a long list of guest vocalists peppered through the album, most notably including the sultry vocals of Jennifer Charles of Elysian Fields and Lovage, as well as soul singer Aloe Blacc. This time around, Le Saout brings us a concept album of a boy and his vinyl collection searching for the meaning of life and happiness with the help of his mother’s advice to use his imagination, open his mind, and "find your dusty rainbow from the dark" as narrated by an ominous male voice in between songs. This is a dark, groovy trip-hop record that is easily put on repeat.
