Linda Perhacs - Parallelograms
This is an older release, it came out in 1970 and virtually went unnoticed. How an album this gorgeous could be ignored is completely beyond me, but I do see how people back then may not have understood it. It is way ahead of its time, and has re-surfaced today thanks to the record label Kapp. This record is a perfect example of psych-folk and is a centerpiece for the more recent “freak-folk” movement. Devendra Banhart has probably studied this album through and through, and even had her sing back-ups on an album of his. Tons of magic inside this recording, get yours before it goes out of print for another who knows how many years.
