Originally only available as a 2-CD set including a Radio 1 John Peel session, only a handful of copies made their way over to the UK on import. Bustin� + Dronin� has never been available on vinyl before now, and this release features the nine remixes (note: no Peel Session) by William Orbit (tracks 1, 6, 7 & 9), Adrian Sherwood (2 & 8), Moby (4), Thurston Moore (5) and John McEntire (7). Dave Brubeck Trio - Live from Vienna 1967 is an extremely rare, red-hot performance by Dave and his famous rhythm section -- Joe Morello, on drums, and Gene Wright on bass. Alto saxophonist, Paul Desmond, missed the plane to Vienna and the remaining trio took the stage with a mission; show the packed hall that the three of them could play up a storm despite being one man down. Each musician in the trio was at the top of their game and each player was forced to stretch out their solos which landed them in new creative territories. The communication of musical concepts between Dave and Joe is extraordinary as they improvise boldly and respond to each other's fresh ideas. Gene Wright solos far more than usual on this album and his playing is a fitting tribute to the longest living member of the Quartet. (Gene died on December 30th, 2020.) Dave Brubeck plays masterfully revealing a rhythmic complexity to his approach on the piano that is remarkable and reminds the listener of his extremely inventive approach to jazz improvisations. Harmonically, he also explores polytonality in the most unexpected places; for example, on the ballad "La Paloma Azul." On "Swanee River" Dave is playfully polyrhythmic. Dave's light touch on "One Moment Worth Years" is charming and gives a nod to the great more traditional pianists who went before him. On this great-sounding recording, you can hear the full breadth of Dave's playing which pushes jazz forward while honoring his past influences. Opening with "St. Louis Blues," the set includes the rhythmically challenging, high-spirited "Someday My Prince Will Come," and ends with "Take the A Train" as an encore. This is a thrilling set! The sound is wonderful and listening to this album will make you feel as if you were sitting in the audience that historic night.

Not long before recording his first songs for Bright Eyes, 14-year-old singer-songwriter Conor Oberst co-founded Commander Venus alongside bassist (and future Cursive frontman) Tim Kasher, guitarist Robb Nansel (now president of Saddle Creek Records), and drummer Matt Bowen (who would soon join the Faint and be replaced by Ben Armstrong). After releasing their 1995 debut, Do You Feel at Home?, the Omaha indie rockers caught the attention of Wind-up Records, who backed the group�s sophomore album, The Uneventful Vacation. While The Uneventful Vacation marked the musicians� final record together, before they each embarked on their next ventures, this formative album has since become a cult favorite in the �90s emo canon. This 25th Anniversary Edition is pressed on Red & Black Smoke vinyl with all-analog mastering from the original tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio. Recorded just months before her untimely death in 1978, this special release attempts to present the record that Sandy might have released had she lived. The concert features a career-spanning set that includes songs taken from her band Fotheringay, Sandy�s solo albums (The North Star Grassman and the Ravens, Sandy, and Rendezvous), as well as her work with Fairport Convention on the albums Unhalfbricking and Rising for the Moon. Epsilon in Malaysian Pale... which could be described as part of the "Phaedra Rubycon Epsilon" trilogy, shows Froese's impressions after the Australian Tangerine Dream concert tour, in relation to the flora and fauna there. Froese creates here a lush sonic atmosphere, the music matches the cover artwork perfectly. The music is harmonic and melodic. A sun-drenched musical landscape that is in no way inferior to the most famous Tangerine Dream albums.

It was not without reason that both David Bowie and Bj�rk named Epsilon in Malaysian Pale as one of their inspirations.

Live In San Diego �74 is an unreleased live radio concert recovered from the depths of the Rory Gallagher archives. This recording features Rory and his band playing a 7 song set at the San Diego Sports Arena on February 8, 1974. This period is regarded as one of his peak live eras, most notably on his album Irish Tour �74, which is his biggest-selling record. This follows the RSD 2021 release of Cleveland Calling, Pt. 2, which came in at #2 on Billboard�s Blues chart.

Dana Gillespie�s debut album, Foolish Seasons, is one of the great lost albums of 1960�s British pop. This very rare and sought-after 1968 album from the legendary British singer/songwriter was only released in the U.S. and over the years its reputation among collectors has only grown. Although it never came out in England, Decca Records kept the masters to the intended U.K. pressing which is now being released on vinyl. It contains two previously unreleased, self-penned tracks � the blue-eyed soul bop �Goin� Round in Circles� and the orchestral �Come to My Arms� which could almost have been a Bond theme.

Scotland�s The Proclaimers were originally formed in 1983 by twin brothers Charlie and Craig Reid. Their folk-rock sound made an instant impact with their 1987 debut, This Is The Story. Wasting no time, their follow-up, Sunshine On Leith, was released in 1988. Kicking off with the hit single �I�m Gonna Be (500 Miles),� not only would the album become a huge worldwide success, it would also inspire a stage musical of the same name.

We bring you another historic, once-in-a-lifetime meeting taking place during the winter of �94 on that venerable Bottom Line stage. Culled from an evening that also included Suzanne Vega and Victoria Williams, there was perhaps no other pairing more perfectly suited to the In Their Own Words platform than this singular meeting of Lou Reed and Kris Kristofferson. As much a course in music history and songwriting as a performance, and years before VH1�s Storytellers series, Allan Pepper and Vin Scelsa�s In Their Own Words series afforded the audience a window into the minds of their favorite songsmiths, in a run that lasted from May of 1990 until March of 2003.

The two songsmiths in question were born and raised in two very different worlds - Lou Reed in the jungles of New York City and Kris Kristofferson in the heart of the Southland. Still, both men demanded total artistic freedom and created raw, brutally honest art that addressed strikingly similar issues of struggles � with loneliness and alienation, addiction and recovery, love and loss, good and evil, vulnerability and hopelessness - painfully aware of contradictions and critical of hypocrisy, painting pictures of characters known or imagined, yet always finding the humanity in our faults and weaknesses during our darkest hours. Through the lens of their music, Lou and Kris view the human condition with a sense of humility and no small amount of humor, which was always close at hand.

Stiff Little Fingers BBC Live In Concer" features two high energy performances from these very influential Northern Irish punk rockers, recorded for the BBC. Fronted by singer/guitarist Jake Burns, the first LP of this 2LP set kicks off with "Roots, Radicals, Rockers & Reggae" from their Go For It album, recorded at London�s Paris Theatre in 1981, a venue used for many classic BBC Live In Concerts. The second LP features an equally raucous show captured at Norwich�s University of East Anglia in the UK in front of a highly appreciative crowd. Recorded a year after the Paris Theatre show, the 1982 set starts with "Tin Soldiers" and ends with "Gotta Getaway."

Donna Summer became the first artist signed to the new Geffen Records label in 1980, and her second album for the label was the 1982 classic Donna Summer, which saw her enter new territory, with production duties by Quincy Jones.

The album�s R&B/pop dynamic featured a Who�s Who of the industry, from the album�s lead single �Love Is In Control (Finger On The Trigger)�, to the All Star Chorus on the Jon and Vangelis-written �State Of Independence�, the beautiful �The Woman In Me�, the James Ingram vocal harmonies on �Mystery Of Love�, and the Bruce Springsteen-penned and performed �Protection�.

The legendary show was recorded in 1983 at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles and originally released as a single disc highlights album in 1984. This Complete Captured Live Record Store Day release features all fifteen songs performed that night, including fiery versions of �Equal Rights/Downpressor Man,� �African,� and �Get Up, Stand Up� on two colored vinyl LPs, the first solid yellow and blue, the second solid yellow, red, and orange. Available for the first time since 2002.

This show was recorded for the German TV series Rockpalast in Cannes in January 1986. Pete Townshend�s Deep End were touring in support of his solo concept album �White City: A Novel�. On Saturday, April 23, Ben Vaughn�s celebrated artistic career will come full circle with the release of The World Of Ben Vaughn. A return to his roots. His recording roots, that is.
In 1986, Ben Vaughn debuted his first album on vinyl only. He had no choice�the CD player had yet to become an everyday home appliance.

Meeting deadlines is nothing new for Vaughn. After releasing seven albums (including the legendary Rambler �65, recorded entirely in his car) and touring internationally, he spent more than a decade in Hollywood creating television music for Third Rock From The Sun and That �70s Show and scoring numerous films.

To realize his vinyl vision, Vaughn recorded much of the new album in the Mojave Desert at the Relay Shack, well-known to fans of his syndicated radio show, The Many Moods Of Ben Vaughn. With not a soul around for miles in any direction, he laid down all the tracks, jumping from one instrument to another. Ben�s longstanding experience as a record producer (Arthur Alexander, Ween, Los Straitjackets, Nancy Sinatra, Charlie Feathers), his renown as a songwriter (Marshall Crenshaw recorded �I�m Sorry But So Is Brenda Lee�) and his collaborations with such artists as Alex Chilton, Alan Vega, and Rodney Crowell have earned him a reputation as a true career artist. But not one who�s tied to the past. Just recently, indie rock icons Deer Tick released a version of his classic �Too Sensitive For This World.� His radio show, meanwhile, continues to attract a growing multi-generational listenership.

Tied in with the Record Store Day release of The World Of Ben Vaughn will be a string of U.S. dates and a tour of Spain in May. �I�m excited about performing the new songs in front of people,� says Ben, �and it looks like that might actually be allowed to happen now!�

This is the continuation of the unveiling of rare and unreleased material from the Vega Vault, which started with Mutator in 2021. This is the first time Alan Vega's big hit "Jukebox Babe" has been reissued, and it will be backed with an early unreleased version of one of Alan's favorite tracks, "Speedway."

Originally released in 1990, Boy Child gathered the very best Scott Walker-penned solo material from his first five solo albums for Philips Records. While the original 20-track CD has gone on to become the definitive introduction to the artist�s early work, Boy Child was only available for a short time as a single vinyl LP with a truncated track list. This expanded 2LP set features the full collection with additional classics such as �Always Coming Back to You� and �30th Century Man,� �Angels of Ashes,� and the rare non-album track, �The Rope and the Colt.� The album artwork also includes the original liner notes by Marc Almond from 1990, Neil Hannon�s notes from 2000, and brand-new notes from Jarvis Cocker (which are exclusive to this edition). Pressed on 180g white vinyl.

The Whole Darn Family emerged from Richmond, Virginia in the late 70�s and were managed, produced and promoted by August (Mr.Wiggles) Moon who ran an independent label called Soul International Records from a storefront in Richmond�s Southside District. �Seven Minutes of Funk� has become a cult favorite as it�s been sampled by Jay-Z, Wu-Tang Clan, Foxy Brown, Method Man, Biggie Smalls and countless other hip-hop artists.
