IRON AND WINE & BEN BRIDWELL - Sing Into My Mouth - Black Cricket
Longtime friends Ben Bridwell of Band of Horses and Iron & Wine's Sam Beam unveil their first ever collaborative album, Sing Into My Mouth, a homage to 12 songs that have had indelible influence on both of its creators. Classics interpreted range from Talking Heads' "This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)," Sade's "Bulletproof Soul" & El Perro del Mar's "God Knows (You Gotta Give to Get)" to deep cuts like Them Twos' Am I a Good Man?
HIGHLY SUSPECT - Mister Asylum - 300 Entertainment
Highly Suspect's debut album Mister Asylum was produced and mixed by Joe Hamilton (Black Keys, Elvis Costello, Tom Waits) and is drawing comparisons to Queens of the Stone Age, Royal Blood, Band of Skulls and early Kings of Leon.
WE CAME AS ROMANS - We Came As Romans - Equal Vision Records
We Came As Romans have built their reputation through near constant touring to become stalwarts of the melodic-hardcore scene, alongside contemporaries like Pierce The Veil and Sleeping With Sirens. Their latest self-titled album incorporates some more pop elements into the band's traditionally heavy sound, courtesy of accomplished producer David Bendeth (Bring Me The Horizon, Paramore, Underoath).
THE DUSTBOWL REVIVAL - With A Lampshade On - Signature Sounds
With A Lampshade On, The Dustbowl Revival's fourth album, finally shines a light on the band’s strength as a live act. They formed in L.A.’s bohemian enclave of Venice Beach in late 2007, the result of a hopeful Craigslist ad posted by bandleader Zach Lupetin, a Midwestern transplant who hoped to join together players in the string band and brass band traditions. Since then, one thing has become clear as the group grows more confident in their abilities: Dustbowl does its best work onstage.
THE BUNNY THE BEAR - A Liar Wrote This - Victory Records
The Bunny The Bear have broken new ground with their fifth album, A Liar Wrote This. The far-reaching album defies genre boundaries with its expansive style that bridges pop, spellbinding soul and introduces the acidic, yet velvety voice of new “Bear” Haley Roback.
