Win Tickets To "Goodnight Brooklyn: The Story Of Death By Audio" Documentary!
Death By Audio was a warehouse space on the first floor of an industrial building in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. The warehouse operated primarily as a living and work space for artists, musicians, filmmakers, curators and designers but also functioned as a recording studio, art studio, electronics factory, as well as venue for art and music. Goodnight Brooklyn: The Story Of Death By Audio chronicles the origins, community-building, influence and ultimate closure of one of Brooklyn's best DIY music venues, ironically at the hands of a former champion of their efforts. The community at Death By Audio decided to say goodbye to the warehouse by hosting their most ambitious events yet: 75 days straight of art, music and bittersweet celebration. Deciding to capture most of their final days, volunteers manned cameras, filming events over a period of 6 weeks from 10pm to 1am virtually every night. Goodnight Brooklyn features appearances by Future Islands, A Place to Bury Strangers, Deerhoof, Ty Seagall, Thee Oh Sees, and more.
