Gene Vincent was an American musician who pioneered the styles of rock 'n' roll and rockabilly. Gene was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. Gene Vincent and His Blue Caps gained a reputation playing in various country bars in Norfolk. There they won a talent contest organized by a local radio DJ, "Sheriff Tex" Davis, who became Vincent's manager. He became one of rock 'n' roll music's true pioneers.
