Full of big dreams, Mitzi Bearclaw (Angeline) is a 25-year-old indigenous woman living in downtown Toronto who is focused on designing intricate, beautiful hats that can change the world. When she receives a letter from her father informing her that her mother is ill, Mitzi decides to put her plans on hold and move back to her isolated reservation in southwestern Canada to look after her family.
