My name is Cody. I make up songs. Then sometimes I record them with my friends and put the songs all in a row on a compact disc. I write "the Rhombus" on the label for this kind of thing, and I also say stuff like "Hi, we're the Rhombus" when we're playing for an audience. It's not a bad name for a band, I suppose. History I lived in Iowa City one time, and started the Rhombus, which was a band that never played shows. I ended up in San Francisco, where the Rhombus became a band that plays shows, and puts out an album every couple of years too. Then I moved to Oakland. Explanation The Rhombus is sort of like those dudes from the 1930s who played their banjos and jugs on their front porches, or in church or whatever. It's not that we sound like those guys, but we play "folk" music in the sense that we play music for ourselves and for our friends, and for you too, but only if you're interested. I'm not going to try to make you interested.
