An ultra rare, late 1950s male vocal pop single from the talented but obscure vocalist Fred Anisfield, "An Old Idea" b/w "Pretty Little Big Brown Eyes" features arrangements from Chris Towns - the songwriter, pianist and arranger for such artists as Johnny Mathis, Gloria Lynne, Dizzy Gillespie, Brook Benton, Jackie Wilson, Etta Jones and Chuck Jackson. Both sides of the single feature a vocal group and prominent electric guitar with interesting vocal arrangements that provide some playful interplay between the background singers and Anisfield. Originally released in 1959 on the Decanter label, a subsidiary of the New York based Fargo Records, this vintage 45 has been remastered and finally made available in the digital domain.Email Signup
