ColleGrove was the "gumbo” or “jambalaya" of two of the most prominent and influential names in hip-hop, 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne. 2 Chainz hailing from College Park, Georgia, and Lil Wayne from Hollygrove, a neighborhood in New Orleans – the two combined their hometown roots to create the title ColleGrove. Released in 2016, ColleGrove honors a musical friendship that has sustained two decades. After much anticipation and almost eight years later, the powerful duo released their follow-up album, Welcome 2 Collegrove, in November 2023. The project is not only a perfect merge of 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne, but it also features some of the best icons in music today, including Usher, 21 Savage, Rick Ross, Fabulous, Benny the Butcher and more. Jewels in the Treasure Box: The 1953 Chicago Blue Note Jazz Club Recordings is a previously unissued 3-LP collection of recordings from jazz icon and virtuosic pianist, Art Tatum, captured live at the Blue Note jazz club in Chicago in March of 1953 with guitarist Everett Barksdale and bassist Slam Stewart. Recently discovered tapes that went missing from the mastering studio in 1974 contain the long-lost concert at London’s Rainbow Theatre, when the band supported jazz legend Billy Cobham. AWB’s repertoire has been a source of inspiration and influence for many R&B acts and they are one of the most sampled bands in history and continuing to reach new generations of younger audiences. Continuing their 50th Anniversary celebrations, this concert release is the only live performance that capture AWB’s original drummer, Robbie McIntosh, who died in tragic circumstances just as AWB and it’s lead single ‘Pick Up The Pieces’ started to break the charts worldwide.

"With its tongue in cheek title, The Best of Band X (there had been no previous Band X releases) snuck into the record racks in 1976, the first the world was to hear from musician/producer/writer/arranger (and later all-American hero) Craig Peyton. Fitting in somewhere between contemporaries like Weather Report, Headhunters and Stone Alliance, Craig Peyton definitely ploughed his own musical furrow even in an exceptionally fertile era. Originally a jazz drummer and vibraphonist, Craig was interested in utilizing the potential of some of the new synthesizers that were coming onto the market in that era, (beating even Stevie Wonder to the use of the Fairlight keyboard). Band X consisted of Alan Grzyb, Victor Preston and Joey Bellomo alongside their auteur, Craig Peyton. Despite being, broadly speaking, ‘jazz’, Craig’s music had a synthetic feel and, like many musical conceptions of the future, sounds decidedly retro-cool today. Drummer Bellomo contributed synthesizer work, and horn-player Grzyb also contributed keyboards. Bass-man Preston also played trombone, and alongside Grzyb’s bassoon and clarinet and the assorted electronics, it was not your standard jazz ensemble. Quirky song titles (some of which wouldn’t sound out of place on a prog-rock album from the same time) confirm the image we have of a musical maverick. Much of the current demand for this very hard to find album owes itself to DJ Amir’s championing of the track Home: many have remarked on its similarity to the classic Steely Dan sound of the same era; other reference points might be Shuggie Otis and Michael Franks. It’s a poignant, floaty and ultimately unique song, with Craig providing the ‘blue-eyed’ vocal, as he does on the other vocal track Afterthought, which also sounds like it could’ve happily lived alongside Shuggie’s Inspiration Information album. A vocal and a lively slice of sequencer space-funk with some truly trippy keyboard work, here’s another track with loads of potential for contemporary appreciation."

Boo-Tay, originally released in September of 1998 on the now defunct alt./punk/metal label Immortal Records, is the first full album featuring the son of country music great Bobby Bare. Unleashing a southern fried cowpunk garage rock sound with electric dulcimer, Bare Jr. is “the best y’alternative band you never heard of,'' according to bassist Dean Tomasek. The band consisted of Bobby Bare, Jr. on lead vocals and guitar, Tomasek on bass, Keith Brogdon on drums, Tracy Hackney on dulcimer and harmonica, along with Nashville independent record store’s own Michael “Grimey” Grimes on lead guitar.
For Record Store Day 2024, it’s available for the first time on vinyl, and this 2xLP set includes the original Peter Collins-produced album along with the promotional live EP Custom Gauge Electric, and early demos when they were known as Bobby Joe and the Metros.
Recorded in the first two months of 1975 at Rockfield studios (with some sessions also taking place at SARM studios in London), Futurama was the second album by Be Bop Deluxe and the first to feature the line-up of Bill Nelson (vocals, guitars, keyboards), Charlie Tumahai (bass, vocals) and Simon Fox (drums). Produced by Roy Thomas Baker (who at the time was also working with Queen), Futurama was an album of immense musical inventiveness and creativity and was a huge leap forward in creative terms for Bill Nelson.
The album gained much praise thanks to Bill Nelson’s composition skills and his highly innovative guitar playing. Featuring such wonderful material as “Maid in Heaven”, “Sister Seagull”, “Music in Dreamland”, “Sound Track”, “Between the Worlds”, “Jean Cocteau” and “Swan Song”, the album would see Be Bop Deluxe heralded as one of the most accomplished acts of 1975. This blue vinyl Record Store Day release features the Stephen W Tayler mix of the album on vinyl for the first time.

Whether a chart topper or the gatekeeper to a deep cut, Bernie Worrell has infiltrated your ears, your eyes (most recently in Stop Making Sense's 40 year anniversary!) and your heart. For those aware of Bernie's journey, it hasn't always been a linear path, but the music has landed at the forefront of the rich, global culture, and continues to evolve, whether analyzed by a musicologist or a teenager in a garage band. Bernie Worrell, a prolific writer and visionary, left this world with an abundance of unfinished work. These compositions remained untouched for a period of decades, collecting dust on reels of two-inch analog tape. In years following Bernie's passing, the tapes were re-examined to analyze Bernie"s nuanced and creative method. After a period of deep reflection, the Bernie Worrell estate decided it was time to complete his vision. With a series of Bernie's collaborators, contemporaries, and friends including Bootsy Collins, Sean Lennon, Leo Nocentelli, Fred Schneider, Miho Hatori, Steve Scales, Marc Ribot, Fred Wesley, Marco Benevento, Stanton Moore, Steven Bernstein, Daru Jones, Will Calhoun, Mike Watt, Norwood Fisher and many more innovators his initiative was completed with dedication to preserving the integrity of the magic which makes Bernie a beloved extraordinary soul. Also included on the album is a previously unreleased Funkadelic track, Contusion, which showcases Bernie’s masterful work with the group.
Bernie Worrell: Wave From The WOOniverse, a double album, was concocted in fourteen cities, with a bound-to-be viral video of the title track directed by Los Angeles-based dancer, Madeline Riley. The album was produced by former Bernie Worrell Orchestra bandleader Evan Taylor, and is slated for release a day after Bernie's birthday, (April 19) on Record Store Day 2024.

Bobbyrush / Blind Boys Of Alabama / Dom Flemons
99 And A 1/2 Won't Do [Record Store Day]
Vinyl: $11.98 Buy
For the first time ever, the legends Blind Boys of Alabama and Bobby Rush have collaborated on a recording bringing together the Blind Boys’ 80+ years of history in Gospel and Americana music including soundtracking the Civil Rights Movement, with Bobby Rush’s 70 years of soulful blues. The rich history of these GRAMMY-winning artists goes back to the Golden Age of Gospel for the Blind Boys and the classic era of Chicago blues for Bobby Rush alongside the likes of Howlin' Wolf, Jimmy Reed, and Little Walter.
The track includes Dom Flemons whose work for Smithsonian Folkways has included his Grammy nominated album Black Cowboys as well as L.A.-based soulful folk rock band Dustbowl Revival. "99 and 1/2 Won't Do" was curated by the artists' management who organized this recording following ten years of management, in an effort to not only celebrate that milestone but most importantly celebrate the music, artists, and their legacies.
The recording is co-produced by Jeff DeLia of 72 Music Management and GRAMMY winning producer, songwriter, musician Colin Linden whose work includes being Music Director for ABC's hit show 'Nashville', touring within Bob Dylan's band, producing for Keb' Mo' and Colin James, and is a member of Blackie and the Rodeo Kings.
The B side is the original "I Found Faith" by singer-songwriter A.J. Croce, a very fitting composition and recording to combine with the soulful gospel traditional "99 and 1/2 Won't Do". "I Found Faith" was originally released on Croce's debut self-titled album via BMG in 1993. "99 and 1/2 Don't Do" was recorded with bassist Dominic Davis (Jack White), and drummer Bryan Owings (Lucinda Williams), plus Colin Linden on guitar. The track was recorded throughout the United States with Bobby Rush and core tracking in Nashville, the Blind Boys in Minneapolis, Dom in Chicago, and Dustbowl in Los Angeles.
All profits from sales of this release will be donated to the Mid-South Food Bank who contribute over 4 million meals per month to people in and around Memphis, Tennessee, including a high percentage of children and the elderly.

The fourth studio album by the legendary Boogie Down Productions. Originally released in 1990, this album features production from D-Nice as well as KRS-One himself. KRS’ unmatched lyricism comes correct over hard boom-bap beats as he touches on topics that include materialism, racism, police corruption and violence and more. So it’s fitting that many of the skits--billed here as “exhibits”--feature civil rights pioneer Kwame Ture (previously known as Stokely Carmichael) so as to complement the conscious lyricism of KRS-ONE.
The release went on to be certified Gold within months. This is the first time Edutainment has seen an LP release since 1990, an opaque black and canary yellow pressing on double vinyl for Record Store Day 2024.

De La Soul’s Live at Tramps, NYC, 1996 is a time machine for fans old and new. Recorded on May 16, 1996 at New York’s famous Tramps nightclub, the core trio are joined by several guests, including Mos Def, then an unknown property but just about to make his De La debut on Stakes Is High. Common stops by for a pair of tracks, and the Jungle Brothers take the stage for one of the highlights, a reprise of the 1989 single "Buddy."
This collection of songs is classic De La Soul: a mixture of thought-provoking lyrics and teenage high jinks. In addition to “Buddy,” it features live performances of “Breakadawn,” “Potholes In My Lawn,” “Me Myself And I” and more.

The Great Spectacular is Dixie Dregs' original 1975 demo tape, pressed on vinyl by the band and distributed locally in limited quantities. Yet The Great Spectacular also functions as a Greatest Hits collection of sorts, debuting tracks which would be professionally recorded across Dixie Dregs' classic 1977-1979 Capricorn Records albums, as well as during guitarist/band leader Steve Morse's stint in Kansas.
The four surviving original Dixie Dregs members will be touring beginning in April 2024, with Dream Theater's Jordan Rudess joining the band on keyboards. Original copies of The Great Spectacular are rare collectors' items. This reissue will be pressed on white vinyl, to match the cover art. Will appeal to existing Dixie Dregs and Steve Morse fans plus fans who know Morse from Deep Purple and Kansas, or who are fans of Rod Morgenstein through Winger.

Restored and remastered from the original tapes, the soundtrack to Storie di Vita e Malavita is being released for the first time on vinyl! The music, composed by Ennio Morricone, has a vivid and dizzying flavor. Pressed on green vinyl LP for Record Store Day.

LEVITATION and the LIVE AT LEVITATION Vinyl Series
The first Austin Psych Fest was held in March 2008, and expanded to a 3 day event the following year. The event quickly developed into an international destination for psychedelic rock fans, with lineups spanning the fringes of indie rock, from up-and-comers to vintage legends, and capped off with headline performances from co-founders The Black Angels, along with Tame Impala, The Flaming Lips, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Thee Oh Sees (in various forms) and many more. LEVITATION helped spark a movement, inspiring the creation of similar events across the globe and a burgeoning psych scene that would soon ignite. The series captures key moments in psychedelic rock history, and live music in Austin, Texas, pressed on beautiful limited edition colorful vinyl pressings - each an eye popping visual representation of the music contained within.
The artists and sets showcased on Live at LEVITATION have been chosen from over a decade of recordings at the world-renowned event, and document key artists in the scene performing for a crowd of their peers and fans who gather at LEVITATION annually from all over the world.

Genuine Imitation Life Gazette (Ofgv) [Record Store Day]
Vinyl: $35.99 Buy
The Genuine Imitation Life Gazette marked a wild, unexpected, utterly satisfying departure for Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons. Inspired by and dropped in the wake of classic psych-pop vocal albums like Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Pet Sounds, this is one of the most ambitious efforts from the famed Jersey Boys. Gone are the doo-wop and Motown inspired harmonies, the light pop about girls, and arrived was a complex, insightful album of social commentary. Critics loved it-- it's taken the fans longer to come around. With this beautiful reissue, a new generation can discover a different side of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, and go on a wild ride.

"It’s hard to believe it’s been ten years since Freddie Gibbs was at a low point in his career, in between labels and surfing couches, and Madlib was a skinny, stoned, sampling beatmaker, trying to forge his way with his own Madlib Invazion imprint as he divested from the label his music built, Stones Throw.
Pinata, their sprawling collaboration, changed the courses of these two musical mavericks. Now, on the 10th anniversary of its launch, artist Jeff Jank returns to his iconic cover with faux-Zebra hide, and Madlib Invazion presents the single LP, half speed-lacquered version of this hip-hop classic."

Beyond his achievements as a founding member of the Byrds, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Gene Clark was truly one of the most prolific singer/songwriters of the rock era. This album introduces previously unreleased studio sessions from Clark’s pre-Byrds days in 1964 to his 1982 reunion with his former bandmates Chris Hillman and Michael Clarke as Nyteflyte. Since his passing in 1991, many of Gene Clark’s home demo recordings and various live recordings have been released. Actual studio recording sessions were rare and their existence was more rumor than fact until this release. This is essentially an alternative history of Gene Clark’s most productive years as a songwriter. Limited-edition pressing on translucent tan vinyl, packaged in a gatefold sleeve with a 24-page color booklet, album notes and rare photos. This 24-track double LP set had a limited release in 2016 from Sierra Records and is extremely rare.

In early 2006, TABOU1 producer Guillaume Bougard booked Harry J Studio for a week to record twelve new songs by Horace Andy following the highly successful Mek It Bun, released a couple of years before
To back such a legendary artist, TABOU1 asked Sly & Robbie and the Revolutionaries (Channel One studio band in the late ‘70s) to work the "old school" way: all musicians would play live, together and in one take, as opposed to recording their parts separately as is now done in modern music.
The result is stunning, with luminaries Ansel Collins and Robbie Lyn on keyboards and organ, Sticky Thompson and Skully Sims on percussions, Dalton Browne and Dougie Bryan on guitar. Bob Marley's synth wizard Tyrone Downie added some musical pixie dust while Stepper did the horns.
Several legends came to visit the studio during the sessions and asked Sly & Robbie to voice some of the riddims being recorded, including Bunny Rugs from Third Word and Gregory Isaacs who voiced one of his best tunes, Poor Man in Love in one take.
Horace was in fine form during the week he worked with the band, recording 13 tracks. We at TABOU1 are proud to release this wonderful album for the first time on a limited vinyl edition for Record Store Day.

This is the band who inspired the movie Sound of Noise, and a touring force to be reckoned with. Since this debut 1998 album, originally on Capricorn Records, they've released numerous albums on Relapse and Alternative Tentacles and are still actively touring and recording. It shows where the band's powerhouse of noise and wall of sound started, combining the best of ‘90s noise rock with grunge/alternative sounds.
Never before on vinyl, now pressed using the original mix that the band self-released prior to signing with Capricorn and remixing the album.
On white vinyl in a gatefold jacket, with a booklet of extensive liner notes from everyone involved in the album.

English singer/songwriter Kate Nash launched her career with piano-driven pop songs and cheeky lyrics that were delivered in a distinctive London accent. Nash soon found success with the platinum-selling Made of Bricks, her 2007 full-length debut. With each successive album, Nash reinvented her sound, tackling neo-soul, synth pop, and indie rock stylings throughout the 2010s. Kate has just signed to Kill Rock Stars, and she has given us 2 exclusive tracks to share with the world for Record Store Day 2024. The pop-jam “Back At School” and then a very personal demo version of the unreleased track “Space Odyssey 2001.”

In January of 1973 Little Richard went to Muscle Shoals to record an album’s worth of material on the heels of his successful releases for Reprise Records. Unfortunately, the material was only ever released in the US in 1973 on United Records and then again in France in 1975 on Musidisc. The album hasn’t been reissued properly on its own since, making this special pressing, available first on Record Store Day, the first appearance of this material since the ‘70s! Included among the tracks are Little Richard’s covers of “Chain Of Fools” and “(Sittin’ On) The Dock Of The Bay,” plus fresh takes on songs he cut during his tenure at Reprise, “Greenwood, Mississippi” (from 1970’s The Rill Thing) and “In The Name” (from 1971’s King Of Rock And Roll and 2020’s Southern Child).
Bill Dahl continues to tell the Little Richard story through his new liner notes for the set and this release, following in the footsteps of the very successful Southern Child RSD release, will be presented on unique Sunflare colored vinyl. The audio is restored and mastered by Grammy-winning engineer Michael Graves.

Manu Dibango is probably the most famous musician from Cameroon and quite possibly one of the most internationally well-known African musicians ever. As a most versatile musician, he had played and recorded almost every style of music you care to mention - Soul, Reggae, Jazz, Spirituals, Blues, African, Electro. Etc…Originally trained in classical piano, his musical career began in Brussels and Paris in the 1950s. The 1960s finds him in Congo as a member of African Jazz led by Joseph Kabasele (Le Grand Kalle). He formed his own band in Cameroon in 1963 and then moved to Paris in 1965. For the Manu 76 album we head off to (predictably) the year of 1976, still in Paris. Four years after its international breakthrough with the hit Soul Makossa, Manu actually recorded two studio albums that year.
Here he assembles a supremely talent bunch of musicians including Jo Tongo on bass, Slim Pezin on guitar, Lucien Dobat (from Kassav) on drums, Alex Francfort on piano and even Georgia Dibango, 7 years old, on the guest vocals among many others. This six tracks album is made of straddling series of styles from the Soukouss Beats of Bokilo’s Boogie and Qui est fou de qui? – Chouchou, the Afro Boogie Jazz of the highly catchy Mimbo, the driving Afro Future-Jazz of Mouvement Ewondo, the pensive soundtrack moods of Besoka On Salsa or the bombastic Afro-Funk Soul Angola. Unarguably one of Manu Dibango’s finest album. You’ll be the judge.

Originally released March 1974.
Nearly thirty years removed from its original release, Coalmine Reissues is pleased to unearth this special edition reissue of Mic Geronimo’s debut LP, The Natural, which marks the first time the album has been repressed since 2012.
Following the success of classic albums from Nas (llmatic), and Mobb Deep (their sophomore LP, The Infamous), the borough of Queens had proven itself to be a mecca of talent, and so the hunt was on the find the next promising emcee to fuel the momentum. It would take a local high school talent show for Geronimo’s talents to be discovered by soon-to-be music mogul Irv Gotti, and a deal with Blunt Recordings for the release of Mic’s debut effort.
In addition to an era-defining soundscape with production credits from Da Beatminerz and Buckwild, among others, the album boasts a notable line-up of guest appearances from The Lost Boyz, Royal Flush and O.C., along with a burgeoning Jay Z, DMX and Ja Rule, who all appear on the celebrated posse cut “Time to Build,” marking the first Murder Inc. collaboration.
The Natural is coming for Record Store Day 2024 in a ghostly gold colored vinyl run.

This live recording from the famed festival by Lake Geneva qualifies as one of the piano trio classics of the 1970s as well as a milestone in the Jamaican pianist's catalogue. The 1976 album captures the moment in Alexander's young career when he began to be compared to such giants as Oscar Peterson. Monty's play combines the proficiency of his Canadian colleague with the feel of the Caribbean and a touch of gospel. Bassist John Clayton and drummer Jeff Hamilton form a sympathetic, cohesive rhythm section, and their clear-cut, penetrating solos are outstanding. The show captivated the audience from the first piece, an Ahmad Jamal composition that Alexander played with inspired blues variations, on through the soulful contemplations in "Feelings". There is an exuberance to the swing on the Ellington piece "Satin Doll", whereas the classic blues "Drown in My Own Tears" is played with sublime, gospel-tinged gravity. An archaic Afro-atmosphere permeates "Work Song", as Clayton shows off his virtuoso talents. With its whimsical, infectious dramaturgy, "Battle Hymn of the Republic" stands out as a classic. After four and a half decades the infectious magic of that night in Montreux remains alive and palpable.
Pressed on mint green vinyl for Record Store Day 2024.

plum blossom (revisited) is a collection of songs from mxmtoon's latest EP and a first-ever pressing of all the songs from her first EP, plum blossom. While Maia is only 23, the amount of growth in the five years since plum blossom debuted is unmeasurable. She came out as queer, moved to Brooklyn, and took a year off when her grandmother, a visual artist who has inspired Maia throughout her life and encouraged her music career, died of cancer. In the aftermath of enormous loss, and in the midst of another close family member’s illness, Maia found a sense of wholeness by reimagining the music that made her. “My mom really loves my early music, so in a sense, I did this for her as much as I did it for me,” Maia says. This is the first time plum blossom will ever be released on vinyl, featuring an alternate cover exclusive for Record Store Day 2024.

Noctorum is a collaboration between guitarist/singer-songwriter Marty Willson-Piper (The Church, The Saints, All About Eve) and producer Dare Mason. Dare and Marty grew up together on the Wirral, near Liverpool, listening to classic ‘60s pop singles, Singer-Songwriters, Krautrock, Spacerock, Prog, Art Rock, New Wave, Punk, Funk, Glam Rock, Heavy Rock, Reggae and Soul – probably the reason for their diverse and eclectic sound. Moving to Australia in the early ‘80s, Marty joined The Church and then in the early ‘90s All About Eve, while Dare concentrated on becoming an engineer and producer, working at the renowned Townhouse Studios in London, before founding the VIP Lounge studio in Penzance, Cornwall.
In the early noughties Dare and Marty formed Noctorum and in 2003 they released their first album on Heyday Records, Sparks Lane (RSD 2021) . Before their second album, Marty joined The Saints and in 2006 Heyday released Offer The Light (RSD 2023). Their third album Honey Mink Forever was released 2011 and has never been released on vinyl.
The album features some really beautiful guitar tones throughout with Marty’s playing varying from soft and sensitive to rip-roaring full on lead. The album concludes with a giant jump into Jazz as two worlds meet with local Jazz players doing their thing while Marty adds a left-wing rock guitar element making this an interesting hybrid. The cover art is a photograph of the artifacts window in the physical In Deep Music Archive and arguably the coolest album cover of the band’s catalog. Pressed for Record Store Day 2024 on canary yellow vinyl.

With her debut album, All Hail The Queen, Queen Latifah asserted that women would not be hip-hop novelties and established herself as one of the genre’s most influential artists. Two years later, in September 1991, she returned with her sophomore album, Nature of a Sistah, a positivity-dominant, cross-genre dabbling set of R&B, dance, funk, and reggae that tested the limits of hip-hop.
The majority of the production on Nature of a Sistah is done by Soulpower Productions. Accompanying them on the production side are Naughty By Nature, K-Cut from Main Source, Luis Vega, and Nevelle Hodge. Together, they wove a follow-up that would widen a path for both Latifah and her successors to come.
This release features "Fly Girl," "How Do I Love Thee," and "Latifah's Had It Up 2 Here."

"For a few years in the late sixties and early seventies Richard Cam & Bert ruled MacDougal St. walking a fine line between the increasingly commercialized demands created by groups like Crosby Stills and Nash and the fierce integrity of earlier folk performers, the generation to which Richard belonged. They managed this with great aplomb, producing original tunes of great integrity and obvious folkloric origins, as well as those which expressed the anarchic omnipresent psychedelia of the moment. They also never abandoned the idea of including some traditional material in their performances. But for the usual random application of luck they could have been very big." --Grungie O’Muck / Artist, Bluesman, Cover artist for their first album and contributor to this one.
Richard Tucker, Campbell Bruce, and Bert Lee coalesced as a trio in the spring of 1968, and by the end of that year had become regular performers at fabled Greenwich Village nightspots - The Gaslight, The Bag I’m In, Cafe Feenjon, The Underground, and The Olive Tree, among others. But mostly they were street singers, busking regularly in Central Park. Their only LP, Limited Edition, was released in 1970, and sold only at gigs and on the street. Original copies of the album are now rare collectibles (the LP was reissued digitally in 2014).
Somewhere in The Stars compiles some of the band’s earlier, previously unreleased recordings, when all three members were signed with Peer-Southern Music Publishers as writers and began using their recording studio to make demos and experiment musically. Beautifully recorded by house engineer Charlie Mack, and supervised by Jimmy Ienner, who’d signed them to Peer-Southern, the demos capture a back-room casualness and rustic, homespun quality that is as welcoming as it is timeless. Some of the songs were re-recorded the following year for Limited Edition, but many are heard here for the first time. Among them is the original demo for Richard Tucker's song, “Are You Leaving For The Country,” which Karen Dalton covered on her seminal 1971 release, In My Own Time. Richard and Karen were husband and wife for much of the 1960s, performing as a duo (initially as a trio with Tim Hardin), and navigating their time on the Village scene while alternating living in a small gold mining town outside Boulder, Co. before splitting up in 1967.
Also making its debut is the only song Richard and Karen ever wrote together, the haunting “Sleeping In The Garden.” Although Karen Dalton wrote poetry and prose, she did not consider herself a songwriter, but the lyric, “If you keep sleeping until the end, you'll have to dream it all over again" evokes pure Karen. Somewhere In The Stars also contains two songs by Cam (“One Of These First Nights” and “Stockholm”) that weren't included on their album, but were staples of their live performances, as noted in a gig review by The New York Times, and in a column by future A&R hero Karin Berg, who was an early champion. Another rarity on this album is the only cover of “Sweet Mama” by Fred Neil we’ve ever heard.
Campbell Bruce came to New York in 1967 as lead singer with a band from Washington, DC, The Natty Bumpo. They’d recently signed a record deal with Phillips, but were falling apart. Cam landed in the Village with an acoustic guitar and first started playing and singing in the basket houses, and shortly thereafter at The Gaslight, as the "Cam Bruce Trio” (which included Collin Walcott). After opening for Mose Allison, Cam's hero, the trio went their separate ways, and Cam returned to regular solo gigs at The Flamenco, and the basket houses on Bleecker. Richard and Cam met up on that scene and quickly found a musical kinship as well as becoming best pals.
Bert Lee arrived in New York as a runaway the following winter, and began playing and sleeping wherever he could. His sometime accompanist, Ron Price, introduced Bert to Richard and Cam just as Bert’s own songs were garnering attention from publishers. According to Bert, “I arrived on the New York scene during a time of great change, and it was the notion of change that influenced me. All around me I saw there were two sorts of songwriters, on the one hand dedicated to the traditions that had inspired them, folk, jazz, the American songbook. On the other hand were songwriters influenced by the wave of experimentation that The Beatles were the perfect example of. Mixing genres, writing lyrics that weren't just about ordinary love and loss.
Richard Tucker was a country blues player, with a relaxed and melodic approach to the craft. Cam wrote something more akin to soul songs, with a hint of jazz in the changes. I was writing tunes that sometimes drew on classical structures with a tendency toward what I suppose would be known as prog-rock. But I was rather adamant about not being pinned down stylistically, and so I would write, for example, a song based on some complex classical chord structure, and then go right ahead and write a simple folk song, like “Evelyn”. Our band was popular locally, and it was this variety that made it distinct.”
One of the group’s biggest fans was the late Kate McGarrigle, who in 2009 shared a hilarious story with Delmore about playing their LP incessantly in the mid / late 1970s, often until a very young Martha and Rufus pleaded with her in unison to “play anything but Richard Cam and Bert!”
"Richard, Cam & Bert seem to have grasped The Great Harmony. That is, ensemble singing that is at once sweet, precise, funky and a bit sardonic - as country things should be"
-Mike Jahn / New York Times
"The trio's singing, playing, and writing have all withstood the test of time. Believe me, because I was there. In 1969 R,C&B, myself, Charles John Quarto, David Bromberg, Ron Price, and Keith Sykes were just a few of that year's crop of song-slingers. We were young turks back then, out on the prowl in New York's Greenwich Village for record deals, gigs, and beautiful young women to sleep with and maybe even write a song about. I've lost the names and numbers of those lovelies and I'm not sure what happened to Ron Price, but Richard, Cam, and Bert are back! - Loudon Wainwright lll
Delmore is excited to present this unearthed treasure, fifteen years in the making. In the words of Richard Tucker, "Tap on your knee, roll on the floor; if you aint free, what's it all for?"

Coalmine Reissues is pleased to announce this special edition reissue of Royal Flush’s time-honored debut LP, Ghetto Millionaire, marking just the second time that the vinyl has ever been repressed.
Royal Flush first jumped on the scene as a part of New York’s burgeoning Queensboro hip-hop scene of the mid-’90s. Coming up under the wings of Mic Geronimo as part of the infamous Wastlanz crew, Flush shadowed Geronimo on over half of the album cuts featured throughout Geronimo’s The Natural, creating a memorable one-two punch akin to Ghostface Killah’s heavy presence on Raekwon’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx.
Flush’s solo debut Ghetto Millionaire hit in August of 1997 and perfectly captures the mid-to-late ‘90s sound of East Coast street rap with a notable production roster that boasts Da Beatminerz, L.E.S., Buckwild, Hi-Tek and Chyskillz among others. Ghetto Millionaire is a memorable trip to the latter half of the Golden Era, abound with Flush’s crime-ridden world of hardcore street rap that’s backed by a first-rate soundscape.
Ghetto Millionaire is set for a Record Store Day 2024 reissue on baby blue and black galaxy colored vinyl

Ellensburg, Washington is known for the world’s 3rd largest three-day rodeo, 90’s NFL legends Brian Habib and Drew Bledsoe and as the hometown of seminal Northwest band Screaming Trees. In the late 80’s, Ellensburg residents were often confronted with the strangely primitive sounds of the band emanating from their headquarters in the back room of the Conner family’s Main Street store, New World Video. Here was the scene of creation of songs from the band’s early Velvetone and SST albums. During this prolific time, much of the band’s music never made it beyond their own ears but was fortunately captured on Gary Lee Conner’s 4 track cassette recorder. Those cassettes have survived, intact, down to this day and have now made their way to this recording. So now, transport yourself back to New World Video, in late 80’s Ellensburg, and hear the weird things happening.
